Pop star PINK came to the rescue of a badly injured dog by reportedly paying for the dog to undergo a life-saving operation.

The animal-loving singer read a story online about the plight of the pooch, which had sustained three broken legs after it was thrown off an overpass in Los Angeles, and contacted a rescue charity to offer her assistance, according to TMZ.com.

The website reports Pink handed over $5,000 to the Ace of Hearts animal rescue organization to pay for the puppy's successful surgery. The dog has since reportedly been adopted by a local family.
