It appears that Playboy founder Hugh Hefner and his former fiance Crystal Harris are in a bitter custody war — over their puppy!

Shortly after she left him in June just days before their wedding, Hef let Crystal keep their puppy Charlie, a Cavalier King Charles spaniel. But now, they are going back and forth over Charlie’s permanent home.

In a new interview, Hef said, “We both love the puppy. I told her if she wants to keep the ring and the Bentley, then maybe I can keep the puppy. I hope we will work it out.”

Hef said, “The puppy’s valuable, but not $100,000 worth.”

They still talk about the pooch, but it remains to be seen as to who is going to get full ownership of him permanently.

As a dog trainer, I recommend the using the Solomon strategy: threaten to cut the puppy in half and give each of them a piece. The one willing to save the puppy's life should get the while dog. If both of them agree this is a good plan, neither of them deserve it, in which case I will take it. My wife has been bugging to get her a CKC Spaniel for years.
